There is nothing better than spending my birthday with my two favorite boys!  We had a great day at the zoo with perfect weather and the animals were definitely ready to be seen...or maybe they were hungry??  I definitely ate to much cake, but coming home after the zoo and watching Nico ride his bike without training wheels....what could be better?  Life is good and I am one lucky Wife and Mommy!

Nico was lucky enough to take his first Vacation of the year with his Grandma & Grandpa to West Virginia.  Although we miss him, he had such a great time playing with his cousin, Maddie, Ian and Austin!  They took hikes, climbed a fire tower, fished, played on the playground, and so much more!!!  He is so lucky to have so many people who love him and take him to do so many things...this kid has traveled more than most adults we know in his short 5 years..... 

Here are just a few photos they took, the views were breath taking and hopefully Nico will remember this trip forever!

Missing Nico

Nico went on a little vacation with his Grandma & Grandpa this week and we are missing him like crazy!  Here he is having a blast with his cousin Maddie fishing in West Virginia.....doesn't look we have any fish yet.  Can't wait for him to come home tomorrow and tell us all about his week adventures.

Easter Weekend

Saturday started out with an Egg Hunt that the township we live in provided.  It was split into age groups and everyone got the chance for ten eggs!  Nico was so excited to be there with his friend from our neighborhood and we are so lucky we live across the street from the park!  We saw the Easter Bunny, collected our eggs, played on the playground and had a snack!  It was a great way to continue our fun weekend!

We got up the Sunday morning and the Easter Bunny left us the colored eggs and hid Nico's Easter Basket!!Although Daddy had to work, he called him as soon as he found it and was excited to tell him all about it!  Then we were off to Church.

Once Daddy got home we were off to Grandma & Grandpa's for another Easter Egg Hunt!  It was fun and Nico was so excited and proud when he got his 12 eggs.  He even helped Uncle Monte get his too!  Although it was a long weekend it was a great one, one we will never forget!

It's so hard to believe how big he is getting!

What a great way to kick off our Easter celebration weekend with friends!  We colored our Easter eggs for the Easter Bunny to hide on Sunday and although Rilynn and Nico were done after about a dozen eggs....Tiffany and I had fun coloring the rest!  It was a great night of coloring eggs, playing and just having a relaxing evening.  I have to say there is something special about having friends you live by...something I never had a kid and now realize how important it really is and how much fun we are going to have this Summer!!!

We had another great adventure at the Great Wolf Lodge last month!  It was full of swimming, sliding, playing with friends and playing some more!  If you have never been there, it's a great place for the kids and kids at heart....like us old parents :)
