To all my Family, Friends and Fellow Blog Readers:

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

On the eve of Thanksgiving, here are my thoughts of what we have to be thankful for:

* First, My husband and adorable son, Nico

* Our health, we have all stayed pretty healthy this past year.

* Friendships, relationships. How important those are to us.

* Employment, with so many looking for jobs we are very, very lucky.

* The little daily things we take for granted, stop for a minute and be thankful for those things.

* My old Dog, Athena who although drives me crazy sometimes she was our "first born".

* My doctors, who haven't figured it out but haven't given it up either.

* Chemo that has really helped my Step-Dad this past year, and every extra day we have is special.

* Book Clubs, fun days out with friends and just having fun!

* My best friend, Terri who has been in my life since I was 13 and will be there until the end and beyond :)

So many things to be thankful for, so little blogger space! That is the the start of my list....what's on your list?

Hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving and enjoy the time with family and friends!

Until next time.....

It's back, the brutally honest truth and knowing darn well that even though it seems like we all alone with these silly things we do, the truth is that we are all in the same boat and learning to laugh about it! So here we go another episode of things I surely couldn't of done.........

I certainly never would of told my precious 3 year old that we were out of water so he would drink the much needed milk he should be drinking and told him we better buy some...No not me!

I surely wouldn't and couldn't have made my loving husband clean the bathrooms because I hate to do it while I cleaned the easier stuff around the house, no not me I always do all the cleaning and on his days off he doesn't have to lift a finger :)

I certainly didn't make an upside down cake, cut it in half eat most of the other half, leave one piece for my precious husband (who if you remember cleaned all three bathrooms) and took the other half to work. I always make sure my adorable husband has dessert of course!

And finally, I certainly would not, could not allow my son to have cookies at 9:30AM after breakfast because he ate good and he won't gain a pound....so why not let him have the cookie...even if it's before NOON!!!!

Well there it is, the brutal truth of things I could have NEVER done!!!

Happy Monday!!

Thank you to all of you who are serving our Country or have served in the past for our Freedom.
For those who have lost their lives, you are definitely not forgotten and the sacrifices you have given "thank you" will never be enough.

In Honor of Veteran's Day:

Because of You, Unknown Soldier
By Courtney Tanabe

Because of you, I am here
Because of you, I am able to live freely

Yet I do not know you
And I have not done anything for you

But there you stand, ready to fight
And there you are prepared to die
For me

You've fought before
And you'll fight again
For someone you don't know

So thank you Unknown Soldier
Fighting for me

I'm here because of you
And I owe my future to you

If you know someone in the Military, or has been in the Military in the past please remember to say "Thank You" for their service in honor of them today.

Eating Out with a 3 year Old

So this goes along with the jokes from Jeff Foxworthy, of "You know you are a Redneck when...."
You know you eat out to much when.......

Your 3 year old understands the difference between eating inside and going through the drive-thru. "Mommy I want to sit down and eat inside, not the drive-thru tonight!"

Are we going to the Red McDonald's or the Green one? (the green one's were in North Carolina)

When your 3 year old knows the difference between Taco Bell, McDonald's and Wendy's by their logo...and if you ask he'll probably answer that Burger King has Mac-n-Cheese.

When your 3 year old can order his own happy meal and knows that it comes with fries and a toy.
If you child knows that Subway offers 5 dollar footlongs and can sing the song......we'll maybe that's to much tv......and knows Subway's logo too.

The saddest part is that mostly we eat out at a restaurant so can you imagine how often we really do eat out..........Sad but true, if only we were wealthy enough to have a chef....LOL!!!

Until our next adventure......

Fall is here, Fall is here!!

Finally fall is here, and we all know what that means cooler weather, time changes, leaves changing and falling.....and fun times in October for Nico!!!!!! Our fall started out kind of crappy with really cool weather, but definitely took a change for the better the last couple of weeks where we could play outside and get the outside stuff ready for winter.

Our first event of October, was the Ringling Brothers Circus up at The Quicken Arena almost two Thursday's ago. We made it there just in time to stand in line and go through the metal detectors....a little scary we live in these times, but anyway we got there in time to meet and greet some of the performers and stand on the stage. Nico was a little shy, but of course amazed by all the sights and sounds. Then it was time to go to our seats, which was in the nose bleed section because Mommy waited until the last minute to buy the tickets, but there definitely was not really a bad seat in the house! It was a two hour show of lions, tigers, elephants, trapeze acts, human cannon balls and so much more!!! A great night was had by all and we were sad to go, but definitely exhausted from the long night....Nico even fell asleep on the way home!

Next, we went to our annual Pumpkin Patch outing in Hartville to buy our pumpkins. Nico got to play in the corn box, ride a train (that he insisted on riding the caboose), petted the animals, ran through a maze and finally ran through the pumpkins until Mommy made him pick the pumpkin he had to have. Although I was a little disappointed that he wasn't more interested, but all in all it was a great night for all!!!

Then on Tuesday it was time to Carve the pumpkins we bought, so Daddy got the tools and stencils ready after cleaning off the dirty pumpkin and we were off. Mommy and Nico cleaned out his pumpkin, and then Daddy drew the stencil marks on it so Mommy and Nico could cut out all the "silly face". It was a great time to watch him, and to see how uninterested he was in getting his hands dirty with the grime inside :) Daddy then was off onto his pumpkin and he did a ghost, which also turned out really good. It was a fun time for all of us and everyone so far has been pretty impressed with how they turned out! Now if they would only stay nice, but I am sure it's about time to pitch them!

Halloween weekend was upon us. Friday night we went to Boo at the Zoo with our friends Vicky, Jeff and Dash (who dressed up as an adorable monkey). It was a beautiful night and the animals were all out, playful and showing off to all the trick or treaters! Towards the end Nico had enough and was hungry, so Mommy got to hold Thomas the Train and Nico continued to take in all the sights and sounds. We ended the night with dinner at Parasson's and Nico was again tired and ready for bed once we got home! Saturday started out crappy with rain and cold, but ended up by trick or treat time beautiful, just like a fall day...a little chilly for me, but a hot cup of tea helped that! We had quite a few trick or treater's and Nico and his friend Rylyn went to a few houses, but we all know that two 3 year olds have their own agenda and there's was to play! Nico and Daddy got the golf clubs out and they pretended they knew what they were doing!!! :)

This has definitely been a fun month, and now with the holidays coming up only more fun to come!!!! A photoshow is in the works with all the pictures, I figured you didn't need to see them twice as well as the few I put up on Facebook if you are on there too!

Until our next adventure........
