Happy 500th Post Nico!!!

Can you believe this is my 500th post???  This blog started out

 as ramblings of a new mother who had no idea what motherhood

was about, but has turned into these awesome adventures I 

never expected.  My blogging life started here introducing myself as

Nico's Mom and makes me laugh now about how naive I was back then,

and how the last almost 5 1/2 years has flown by way to fast. 

I mean we registered for KINDERGARTEN...yes I said it,

KINDERGARTEN PEOPLE

and it freaks me out everytime I say or think it.....

Maybe I am just sappy in my old age, but going to his possible

school last week just brought tears to my eyes to think that

this is the beginning of a new adventure which I love, but the end

of him needing and wanting me for everything...now he'll make

new friends and I'll just be Mom.

These past almost six years I have been blogging has been great

being able to make people laugh, maybe cry a little, and showing me being me,

but most of all it's a way for me to chronicle Nico's life

so that one day hopefully he'll read these posts and think I remember

that or that's my Mom being crazy again.

So those who have followed us over the years, thank you and for those

who are new readers, welcome. 

As our adventures continue I hope you'll continue to follow

us as Nico continues to grow and amaze us every single day.

I am proud to be Nico's Mom and can't wait to see

what the next 500 adventures bring us!!!

Hershey's Chocolate World

Our friends Pete & Michele just moved back to PA so Nico and I decided to jump in the car for another weekend adventure, and even though everyone thinks I am crazy to drive around with a 5 year old by myself......it was yet another memory for us!  In my next life I am going to be Nico.....the boy who has traveled more in 5 years than most adults do in their entire lives.....anyhoo, it was great to see Michele and Pete and Nico made a new best friend, Cesar their 9 month old Dalamation Puppy who was wayyyyy to adorable!  On Saturday morning we drove to Hershey, PA to Chocolate World....just saying it makes my mouth water.....Chocolate World.....it was a great place to see how Hershey makes their chocolate and to walk through the NEVERENDING candy store!! And did you know Hershey makes Jolly Ranchers, Twizzlers, Whoppers and so much more....they even make a 8 pound Hershey's chocolate bar!!!  All you chocolate fans, you would of been in heaven!  It was a great day and of course we left there with a bag full of chocolate to bring home....and sour candy for me! 

Although the weekend seemed to fly by it was great to see them again, and since we live in driving distance we will definitely be seeing them more!  Daddy wants to go to Gettysburg and lucky for us they live within 20 minutes or so!!  Plus Pete wants to see the Thurman Munson Memorial.....did anyone know there was one at the Akron/Canton Airport??  So I am sure they'll be visiting us soon too!  It was sad to go, but knowing we'll see them soon always makes saying goodbyes easier!
