Good News!

Nico went to the dentist this morning and his Dentist was really happy with his healthy teeth! Of course he will need braces, and I will need to get a second job, but it's great to hear that NO sugarbugs were reported!!! Nico also got a cool toy with his coin he gets when he is good after the cleaning.

Hellllllooo Friday!!! With the weekend upon us, I thought it would be fun to start it off with Five Question Friday!!! So here we go.......

1. Do you know how to play a musical instrument?
2. What is your pet peeve while driving?
3. Would you rather have a housekeeper or unlimited spa services?
4. Is there a song that you hear that will take you back to the moment, like a junior high or high school dance?

1. Do you know how to play a musical instrument?

I actually know how to play two, and one sort of....I guess I should explain. I was a band geek, I know that's hard to believe being so cool and all now....ok maybe not but anyways, I know how to play the clarinet, alto clarinet and I also attempted for a guy I liked to play the trombone....seriously I never learned how to play it but had a lot of fun standing next to the guy I thought I was in "love" with!! Call me crazy, and the funny thing is I picked up my little sisters clarinet a few years ago and can still play....AMAZING!!!!!

2. What is your pet peeve when you are driving?

Gosh, there are a few that really drive me bananas but I'll try to keep it short! First off, why do people have to pull out in front of you like the traffic is backed up 3 miles and you look back and there is NO one behind....seriously you couldn't wait until I passed and then on top of that they go 10 miles under the speed limit......AWWW!! Or how about the guy that leaves his turn signal on.........for real you don't hear the clicking?? Or the worst one of all is seeing the kids not strapped, sitting on someone's lap or looking out the window because they are only half strapped in while the Mom or Dad is talking on the phone NOT paying attention to what's going on....ok I'll stop there. Although I could pull them over and slap them........now I am done!

3. Would you rather have a housekeeper or unlimited spa services?

Gosh this one is TOUGH! I would have to say probably a housekeeper, someone I could trust and would do a good job that I wouldn't have to go back and clean after they left. See for me spa services would be nice but then I would have to find time to go all the time, and find someone to help me with Nico....just wouldn't be logical. A housekeeper on the other hand would always make me happy to come home to a clean house, and I would have more time to spend with Nico!! It's a win, win situation there!

4. Is there a song that you hear that will take you back to a moment, like a junior high or high school dance?

Gosh there are many songs that do that, but the one that is special to me is Truly, Madly, Deeply by Savage Garden...it was "our" song and was played for our wedding dance. Every time I hear it I think of that wonderful moment. Another one, is Song for Mama by Boys II Men, Daddy danced with his Mom at our wedding and ever since I found out Nico was a boy, I listen to that song thinking about him and I dancing at his wedding someday...cheesy I know.

5. What song represents your life right now?

Hmmm...I'll have to think about that one.......I love the lyrics to Truly, Madly, Deeply. It starts out with "I'll be your dream, I'll be your wish, I'll be your fantasy, I'll be your hope, I'll be your love, be everything that you need, I'll love you more with every breathe, truly madly deeply do." This represents the love I have for Nico's Daddy and that is everything to me and I love him more each day. But then for Nico a crazy kids song would represent my life with him....because although I love him also more each day......he is going through that crazy boy stage that I think I might not make it through......but I love each minute of it!

So there it is a little piece of me that you would know or not, but something that hopefully made you smile :)

Fun Train Ride

What a fun day with Vicky and Dash at the Akron, Zoo. Since we bought our Zoo Membership, why not use it! It was a cloudy but breezy day, and not very crowded so it was the perfect day to spend with friends and watch the animals play! This is one of our favorite zoo's since it's only a couple of hours to walk through, and all the exhibits are pretty close together. Nico's treat at the end of the day for being a good boy was picking up a present at the gift shop, he chose stamps of animals. It was definitely another fun adventure for Nico!

It was a wonderful show, and two people came up to me and asked it they were my daughters. And I explained who I was, but they said that Kait & Kourt were their favorite dancers of the night!!!

My best friend, Terri of almost 20 years got me this awesome Martini Glass that I had to share with all of you! She is probably right, after almost 20 years she probably does know EVERYTHING about me but she still does love me!!! Scary I know!!!

Just Another Night at the Lizard

After the Fumbleball Game, we went to Lizard and ordered our dinner only to see rain clouds coming in but we thought we'll be OK we have umbrellas on the tables....boy were we wrong. Just about the time we got our food, the rain came and then it poured and poured...until we grabbed our food and ran for shelter, but it sure didn't stop Nico! The little guy was having so much fun in the rain that I couldn't tell him that he had to come in! Plus he was giving everyone a show, and making everyone laugh. It was a great night with good food, friends and even a little entertainment!

Great Lakes Science Center

Cleveland, Ohio

I found this place online, and was wondering if anyone has ever been to the Great Lakes Science Center in Cleveland? It looked like a lot of hands on, and seems like a lot of fun for us and Nico but was wondering if it was age appropriate for Nico.

If you have any insight on this Science Center, I'd love to hear it!

Fun Day out with Friends

Lake Anna, Ohio

Last weekend was another fun weekend for Nico!!! We met our friends Vicky and Dashel, for a fun day at Lake Anna. It's a beautiful lake that of course has ducks, and a wonderful walkway to walk. Dashel was gracious enough to give Nico a ride in his cool car, and they fed the ducks and played on another beautiful day! Then it was off for ice cream and fun for Vicky and Mommy at the Nursery!!!

Summer Projects

Every year we do a project, we'll at least one and this year was no exception. I posted our wood floor project earlier and now our flower beds are re-designed and everything is newly planted...we'll except the hostas they were transplanted! Our friend Jeff, designed our beds and helped me pick out plants!! I love our new beds and can't wait to continue around the deck....but first we need mulch.
